The Palme d'Awful is an independent awards show and archive dedicated to the year's most spectacular cinematic misfires — the expensive flops, the misguided passion projects, and the sequels nobody asked for.
Once a year, a small jury sits down, watches far too many bad movies, and hands out awards across thirteen categories — from Worst Picture down to the deliberately backhanded Silver Lining Award. Every ceremony, category, film, and nomination on this site is tracked in a permanent record, cross-referenced with studios, genres, and the people responsible.
Alongside the jury's official picks, Patreon members get a vote of their own in the People's Palm — a parallel fan verdict that doesn't always agree with the jury, and isn't supposed to.
Editorial is where the jury writes up the films that almost made the ballot but didn't quite — the near-misses, the honorable disasters, and the ones that got away. It's the closest thing this site has to a review section.
Every film, ceremony, and jury quote on this site is invented for the purposes of the project — none of it refers to real films, real studios, or real people. It's a running joke with a database behind it.
